I should be working.

Instead of working, I've dredged up my old Google blog which I've now attached to G+ in some way. Today has involved data entry and reading through http://speirs.org/ which is a great site about how to integrate ipads into classrooms in schools. Every now and then he also posts the apps he uses which essentially makes me seek out apps that I may otherwise never have known about, such as the following.

Noteshelf: This may replace Penultimate on my ipad, although more expensive it seems to have more functions and the wrist guard which took a minute for me to click to is great for keeping marks off the lower page while writing on the upper.

Twitteriffic: Twitter cannot make a decent twitter application to save itself, even the web version has moved from functional to complete rubbish. I no longer visit the website for twitter on anything, instead I use Plume on my Android and now Twitteriffic on my ipad. Twitter's twitter app has now been deleted from my ipad, it was expunged from my Android a long time ago.

Will I use this blog more often as a means to gather and share my thoughts? My guess is no since it was around 4 years since my last post and if I post any more then it will likely only be a few times before I decide that I'm over it.

The Forgotten Blog

Well I knew it would happen, I knew I'd end up forgetting about my blog. Perhaps the problem is that I don't really have much of anything to blog. Why is it called a blog anyway, it's a stupid name. This is more of an online journal so I think that a new name is in order, Onnal perhaps, not that much better than blog but still better.

I can't really think of much to write, I'm actually a little spaced out having just got up, as usual the Juiced or Demon energy drinks work for a few hours and then you have the eventual fall, hell I ended up going to bed just after 10pm, that's a rather early time for a student, shouldn't I be up until late in the night studying? I do have an exam after all.

Writer's block. I've hit the wall that prevents all authors from continuing with their writing. Can't think of a single thing, nothing, I was gonna write something in Japanese but it seems my language bar has disappeared which is kinda annoying, I'm gonna have to sort that out at some point which is a bit of a hassle.

Transformers Animated. It's the new transformers cartoon and it's certainly different. It has been made in an effort to update it for the discerning audience of today. Basically they have made it for the little kids (fair enough it is a cartoon which technically is for kids) but they have made it far far too cartoony, I asked my 6 year old nephew if he thought it was good and he said no! if a little 6 year old kid doesn't like it then it must be complete kak. (I think it is average).

The new Spider-man Animated, which was on after transformers, was actually really good, that's the thing with Spider-man, it is hard to go wrong as long as you keep away from a clone saga story arc. Although it seems that there is no Mary Jane, instead they have brought back Pete's original high school sweetheart Gwen Stacy who is now a science geek on par with Peter Parker himself, possibly even more intelligent since she wears glasses which as everyone knows causes an increase in IQ for those who wear them.

That's it for the moment, next time I'll talk about whatever comes to mind so tune in next time kids, same bat-time (ie., most likely in a bat-month), same bat-channel.

Sweet Jesus! It's a new Post!

My computer crashed, some fucking thing which made it so it wouldn't load past the login stage, thanks to the help of my friend Richard I was able to get everything back in working order (so far). All in all it was a good way to procrastinate and not do my Egyptian art and narrative essay be cause as it turns out I am shit when it comes to analyzing artwork and writing about it. I can write about history, I can write about other stuff which I can't actually think off at his point in time, but for the life of me I can't write about art. Basically the essay is gonna be about 5000 words + pictures, I may manage 3000 words + pictures, perhaps a lot of pictures. It's gonna be shit and I am not going to get a good mark for the paper (the essay is the assessment), still as long as I hand something in I may manage a pass mark. Actually I think it is mainly this paper which is killing my interest in university life (the studious side of it, not the coffee drinking side of it) and sadly I have it again next semester due to it being a full year paper. Fuck.

Bad Way to Spend a Friday Night?

Not 100% on why I'm doing this (well technically it is to get much work done) but I am here in the PGL attempting to get some work done, perhaps even an entire essay out of the way so I can begin work on another as well as make a start on writing a chunk of my dissertation. Now this is all well and good but I'm planning to spend all night here, thankfully my friend Theresa is here for company otherwise I would undoubtedly head home due to my general lack of motivation. It will be interesting to see exactly how much work I will get done and I have drunk an energy drink which should hopefully have the effect which it did the night before by keeping me wide eyed awake well past the mid point of night time. Of course it's not all work and no play, I have the first season of Avatar here in order to rewatch it, not all of it but at least one or two episodes in order to keep my mind from overloading with work. I also have the internet which is why I am writing this instead of what I am meant to be doing.

On a side note completely unrelated to me working; I'm looking forward to learning about Euripides this wednesday, make sure it's a good presentation Imogen, I'll even do the reading in order to prep for it although clearly not tonight.

Wasurenakattanda!

I have remembered that I have a blog, perhaps mainly because I am now in need of a great amount of work for my class discussion tomorrow. While I believe I have everything down and I do think I will be able to answer various questions fielded by my fellow classmates tomorrow (assuming they can ask the question in a way in which it can be answered) I still need to sort out the order of my discussion rather than speaking in a disjointed way and recalling random bits of information throughout my talk. Even though a disjointed talk would be more fun it may make me look disorganised, which currently I must admit, I am. So today I shall be remaining in the PGlabs for most of my time in order to create a semicomprehesive collection of notes for classtime.

More importantly I have no intention of leaving a working computer, turns out that maintenance in the PGlabs is fairly haphazard, I really should tell whomever is in charge (I think it is one guy in charge of a large area, they really need at least another person to help out) The only thing which prevents me from doing so it my general laziness.

NOT THE 9 O'CLOCK NEWS! I have be rewatching the excellent anime Azumanga Daioh, this is a hilarious anime that you can watch again and again, point in case I believe this is the fourth time that I have watched the series and I can see me watching it again sometime in the near future, perhaps next semester when I once again need to procrastinate from doing actual work. In fact everytime I watch an anime series I always get a hankering for returning to my sketching, I am so out of practice as it is one of those things that I always say to myself "No worries, you've got time and can get back into it whenever you wish." Naturally I never do.

Study Time in the Postgrad Labs

Well whatever illness I had is gone, caffiene once again permeates my system and I will now be spending the next few days stuck in the postgrad labs reading and sorting through my notes for my discussion on wednesday. What is great about the labs is the quiet and the not having to fight off those dirty, dirty undergrads for a computer. On the negative however if you've been in here before then you will notice the humidity reaches epic proportions. Still the positives outweigh the negatives.

As for my Greek Revolutionaries class discussion, lets hope I don't lull everyone to sleep, lets hope I don't talk so fast that not even I can keep up with what I'm talking about. At least I don't have to come up with a question cause I must admit during the others talks I did have a tendency to zone out from time to time. Now this isn't due to their talks being uninteresting rather it is due to my mind almost constantly wandering which is a problem when I must ask a question/make a comment and I realise that I cannot really recall much of what has been said. Then again since I'm lead discussioneer (with the power of mindless drivel, when our powers combine we summon Captain Academic) I must be able to respond to questions put forward..... Let's hope people have easy questions otherwise I'll have to fall back on the standard "that's a good question I'll be sure to include that in my research"

Edit: I've discovered another negative of the PG-Labs. our printers are shit. may complain but am more likely to just go upstairs and print stuff off. Don't print stuff in the PG-labs!

In the Beginning

In the beginning I was reading through my friend's Blog and when I went to leave a comment I ended up creating my own blog. Of course I do not consider myself very eloquent, nor do I expect to keep up with the blogging as no doubt I will forget about this a few minutes after I leave the page. Right now however, I am in need of a diversion as I have a headache and a sore tummy and don't really want to study. The headache is due to the sore tummy as I am too afraid to drink a cup of coffee and thus I am punished as my body's supply of caffiene is slowly depleted.

What's more I am in mighty need of study right now as I have a test this coming monday and then 2 days after that I must speak on the Oligarchic Coup of 411 BC (This was in Athens for all of you Philistines who lack the proper culture to know of it). "Now Blogger saves your drafts automatically!"

Study calls, or perhaps that's Foamy.....
